These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Net Worth Calculator ("the app"), a personal finance tracker for Android. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The service
Net Worth Calculator lets you record your assets, liabilities, and household members on your device and calculate your net worth. It is offline-first: it works fully without an account. There is no backend server, no analytics, and no advertising. Optionally, you may sign in with Google to sync your data to a single spreadsheet in your own Google Drive.
2. Licence
The developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law or the app's open-source licence, where applicable.
3. Not financial advice
The app is a self-service calculation and record-keeping tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice, and nothing it displays should be relied on as such. The developer is not a licensed financial adviser. Any decisions you make based on figures shown in the app are your own responsibility; please consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
4. Your data and responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for the decisions you make using it.
- Your data is stored on your device and, only if you choose to sign in, in your own Google Drive. You are responsible for keeping your device and Google account secure.
- You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data will remove on-device data.
- You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage or impair it.
5. Third-party services
If you enable sync, the app communicates directly with Google Drive and Google Sheets APIs using your own Google account, under the drive.file scope. Your use of those services is subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy. The developer does not control and is not responsible for third-party services.
6. Privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how data is handled. In short: the developer does not collect, receive, or have access to any of your data.
7. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that calculations will meet your requirements.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or savings, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. The app is provided free of charge.
9. Changes to the app or these Terms
The developer may update, modify, or discontinue the app or these Terms at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the courts having jurisdiction in India.
